Uncertainty

Creating the wherewithal for freedom

Circumstances and the Self

The people and circumstances we find ourselves straddled with weighs on our mind. Dwelling on them serves no purpose whatsoever. All we ought to be doing is managing our resources. It bodes well to remember that the cultivation of insight and compassion is our greatest resource and only refuge.

No matter what unfolds, we can rely on only such cultivation. In many ways, whatever we are faced with is our doing. Why is that? Because, our circumstances includes our self and the self is completely intertwined with everything else. However we might have maneuvered in the past, creates the self that we now inhabit.

Thus, the cultivation of insight and the cultivation of compassion is the only thing we should focus on. Everything else, without exception, is reason to renew the resolve to do so.

Letting Be…

That there are difficulties and frustration is obvious. Acquiring the certainty that these will cease to be is falsity masquerading as security. If with any instance, we can not look for the assurance that things will or happen to be going our way, we create the ability to reduce our reliance on comfort.

With sensitivity, comes pain and suffering, and comfort becomes precious. With incongruence and difficulty, we ought to cultivate freedom from reliance on too much, and this includes dependence on comfort. Each time this is done, we move firmly in a direction that is not entrapment.
